Based in New York and Los Angeles, Eric Mitchell is a lighting designer and programmer for theatre, dance, concerts, and special events. His work has brought him to regional theaters throughout the country, as well as nightclubs, concert venues, gala event spaces, site-specific dance locations, and schools. Eric also frequently assists scenic designers during pre-production phases of design as a studio assistant and draftsperson. He strives to bring a strong sense of collaboration, positivity, and open mindedness to his work.
Eric shares his passion of design with photography, hiking, pottery, and volunteering with animal organizations. He is an avid juggler and volunteers for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, where he helps train guide dogs during the first two years of their lives.
His work in the theatre and passion for animal advocacy have recently merged as a new addition to the team of animal handlers at Berloni Theatrical Animals. He is currently the animal handler for the geese and rabbits in the Broadway production of The Ferryman.
